NRH2O

NRH20 is located in North Richland Hills, Texas, also known as "NRH". Over the years, the waterpark has grown into a huge attraction, providing hours upon hours of family entertainment.

The park features a huge toddler area and pool, with plenty of small slides and other attractions for the younger ages. Also included in the park are several waterslides, including the spectacular Green Machine. For young and old alike there is the Frogstein Splashatory, which is a section of waterslides, sprayers, a huge bucket that dumps water on guests, and some fun "science" type projects with water as well.

When tired you can kick back and enjoy the lazy river, either by swimming or sitting on a tube. And for the ultimate in excitement, the wave pool offers up and down waving fun for everyone.

We can't speak of NRH2O without mentioning the Dive-In Movie, played on most Friday nights. Each week provides a new feature, which is shown on the back wall of the wave pool. Guest can sit in the grass, or the water, to watch the show. Who could go without seeing Jaws while sitting in an intertube?

Posados Mexican Cafe

Posados Cafe is a full service family oriented Mexican restaurant with several locations in the Texas and Louisiana area. They have been in business for over eighteen years and know how to treat their guests, and the food is nothing less than extraordinary.

The portions are huge, but don't expect a large tab. When dining with four or five of our family, the bill rarely exceeds $30. And our service has never been anything less than superb. The orders come out right, the food is piping hot, and the chips and hot sauce provided free of charge while you wait for your meal is awesome as well.

Fence vs. Wall

There's not a lot of differences between fences and walls. Both have nearly the same functions, and in many cases they are connected together and work hand in hand.

Below are the definitions that are applicable in this blog to each one-

Fence- a barrier, railing, or other upright structure, typically of wood or wire, enclosing an area of ground to mark a boundary, control access, or prevent escape.

Wall- a continuous vertical brick or stone structure that encloses or divides an area of land.

While my main interest has always been in fences, I share the same interest in walls, as one might expect. This blog will share my fascination with both and labels will be used to let the reader narrow down what interest them the most.

Welcome!

Texas Wanderer is a collection of fun, interesting, and entertaining places I've come across while wandering around Texas. Whether living, visiting, or vacationing in Texas, you'll find plenty to do here for every member of your family.

In addition to places in Texas, I've also included a few other spots throughout the country and world. Also included is my large collection of fence and wall photographs, since the majority were taken in the Lone Star State.

I've always been an admirer of fences- no matter how large or how small, how simple or how complex, they have always amazed me. Some are built to keep things in. Some are built to keep things out. Some have no importance except to beautify the landscape. And through the years I've passed many that seem to have no purpose at all.

Thank you for visiting. I hope after reading about Texas it will encourage you to visit and check out the places I recommend. And maybe you too will begin to take notice and appreciate fences and walls. They are common, yet intriguing works of craftsmanship.
